What is the process for getting a job at Camp Skyline? How long does it take?

Our Hiring Timeline


1. Fill out an application: Our application asks you about any caring for children, Christian values, and leadership experience. Please take your time and answer each question fully. You are able to save your work and return to it later if needed.

If you still have questions and are not sure about working yet, no worries! Connect with a director and we’ll answer any questions you may have.

2. Interview: After your application is reviewed, one of our assistant directors will reach out to schedule an interview with you if we think you’d be a good fit here at Skyline. 

Interviews are held in-person if you live nearby or via Zoom for those further away. Most interviews last between 30 minutes and 1 hour. 

3. Secondary Interview: For those new to Camp Skyline, we want to get to know you a little better! Our Summer Director or Camp Mom will reach out to schedule a secondary interview with you. 

4. Reference Check: We require three (3) non-relative character references from people who know you well – think teachers, coaches, friends, youth group leaders, pastors, or past employers.

5. Offer!: We’ll take a few days to review your application, interview questions, and references before extending an offer to you. Once a decision is made, your interviewer will call you!

This entire process should take 2-3 weeks, but may vary depending on holidays and scheduled events throughout the winter and early spring.
